About the photo: I spent this weekend at Port Aransas, Texas. As I walked on the beach the first afternoon, I noted the sand. Sand is typically dry (the temperatures are usually quite high here). On this day, however, the sand wasn't as dry as usual. There was moisture beneath the surface. I appreciated the patterns the sand created on the surface, though, as it blew around the beach.
