About the photo: I received a new film scanner as a gift and lately I have been experimenting with it. This is one of the images I that scanned last week and to me it is a new photograph because I've seen it enlarged or printed. I took this photo on an early Sunday morning walk around New Orleans after attending the Conference on College Composition and Communication. The streets were empty, washed clean. It was my first time in New Orleans and walking around when it was so empty was an intimate experience. I love how the film captures the scenes many textures. Now that I have the scanner, I have to get back to using film as it is so much richer than digital.
