About the photo: Last week, I was driving home and I found myself following this man in his 1952 Chevy. I followed him for several minutes, taking in all that he appeared to be: the straw hat, the tweedy looking suit (the filtered cigarette you can't see in the picture). I noted the details of the car: the statue of Jesus on the dash board; the bobbleheaded dog in the back; the hanging straps (in lieu of seat belts); and the announcement that the car is, in fact, a '52 Chevy. I wondered about the age of the man driving. I wondered if this was his car originally or if he'd restored the car himself.
